Founded in 2007 by Jamie Montag and Matt Morningstar — two Conestoga College engineering students who started with weekend handyman work — Caliber Contracting has grown into one of Southwestern Ontario's most trusted premium design-build firms.
The engineering foundation still defines the work. Load paths, building science, and structural integrity are built into every decision from day one, not bolted on after. Today, a team of nine designs and builds custom homes, additions, and high-end renovations across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Paris, and Brant County — for homeowners who value craftsmanship over the lowest price.

Caliber Contracting occupies Suites 5, 6, and 7 at The Paris Collective — a connected three-suite footprint on the south side of the second floor that houses the firm's design, project management, and administrative team. The team chose The Paris Collective for the same reasons most members do: 24/7 access, a quiet professional environment, and a downtown Paris location that's central to the firm's regional service area.
